About Us

42 Solutions was founded by Devon Kennard, a former NFL player, real estate investor, and Arizona native, with one clear goal: to provide local real estate investors with fast, reliable, and relationship-based lending.

Having experienced the challenges of scaling a real estate portfolio while balancing a full-time career, Devon recognized the need for a private lending partner who could move quickly, structure deals creatively, and deliver with consistency.

Why We Started

42 Solutions was built to fix the things that frustrate real estate investors most about borrowing:

  • No real access to the person actually making the decision


Devon founded 42 Solutions as an operator who'd done the deals himself — and built it on a different belief: that private lending should run on certainty, flexibility, and long-term relationships, not red tape. Because we lend our own capital, we can commit with confidence and structure around the realities of your deal instead of forcing it into a generic checklist.

Today, we work directly with investors across Arizona — common-sense underwriting, reliable draws, and predictable capital — so operators can stay focused on building, knowing their lender is a partner, not an obstacle.

About Devon Kennard

Devon has been investing in Arizona real estate since 2014 — acquiring more than 50 properties as an operator and holding limited-partner positions in 50+ additional deals. He has been lending privately since 2020, and today funds 42 Solutions' loans with his own capital.


That depth of experience, as both an operator who has done the deals and a capital partner who has sat on the LP side of the table, is what shapes how 42 Solutions lends: common-sense underwriting, creative structuring, and a genuine partnership with every borrower.


He holds undergraduate and master's degrees from the University of Southern California, is an award-winning author of two books on real estate investing, and spent nine seasons as an NFL linebacker before building his full-time career in real estate and private lending. He currently serves on the board of the Arizona Private Lenders Association.
